I will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in you.
Isaiah 26:3
In 2001, I became aware of my deep spiritual need to know God better. I had accepted Christ as a teenager but something was still missing. I had a yearning for something more than salvation, a relationship. Not just any relationship, but the only relationship that fills a persons heart…Jesus!
I have been happily married to Doug for over 30 years and we have one son, Levi. I gained two beautiful daughters, Courtney and Chelsea, when Doug and I married. Courtney is married to Dan and they have given us our granddaughter, Addison and grandson, Nash. Chelsea is happily married to Mitch. Levi is married to Melody and are expecting their first child, a daughter. We have a great family and this is truly a blessing from the Lord.
In 2002, after spending a year with my nose in the bible, God was preparing me for something big. My mother died the end of that year after losing her battle with lung cancer. This was the hardest time of my life and I was too young (age 38) to be without my mother. At that time, my son was only 7 years old and I needed her wisdom and love in my life. The verse that got me through that time in my life was Isaiah 26:3. I needed perfect peace, I needed God and I found him trustworthy and faithful to his Word.
I am a student of God’s Word and love spending time with others in Bible study. I have a heart for women’s ministry, a compassion to care for others, and my very own skincare business.
I just my first book in 2020 and it was nearly 20 years in the making. It was a truly labor of love and my prayer is for all women to seek God first in their day before engaging with the world. If you would like to read it, you will find more information at Spiritual Makeup Bag.
My ultimate passion is to help hurting people and help them find Jesus Christ. Most days you will find me at home working on my next book, attending Bible study, or helping people love their skin. I believe in giving back and helping people and found 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 to be my life verse. Praise be to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
I accepted Jesus as my Savior at age 13, but did not learn how to walk with God for 25 years. Once I started walking the walk with God, it became clear to me that my lifelong calling from God is to help people from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ beyond tradition and routine.
My hope and prayer is that my blog posts, poems, and book will inspire you to run after Jesus with your whole heart.
Every blessing,
Kim A. Thomas
